Calibration is an important step to making sure your gas detector will sound the alarm when the proper threshold is passed. You can do this in the field using a calibration kit, and it only takes a few minutes!
We show you how to disassemble your Gas Detector for regular maintenance. Different gas sensors are easy to change and replace in the field as long as you follow the steps.
A "Bump" test, or functional test, involves exposing a detector to a gas concentration that exceeds the units alarm set points, testing the sensors ability to respond.

All components for Gas detectors are overpriced for what they are but that said, canary sense was comparable with industry norms. The filters should be priced at less than a dollar but were $10. Oxygen sensors are just a lead wafer that should be priced at no more than $10 to mass produce.

Ordered this after having a live chat with customer service who helped me with this item compared to other products and helped me decide the best value. Item is compact and perfect for what we need without all the extra bells and whistles that are not needed.
